According to the Maltese legislature, people with dual citizenship, that is people who hold citizenship in Malta and another country—they have a right to reject their Maltese citizenship. The circumstances include when an individual proves disgruntled with the president and becomes vocal about it or if they sided with an enemy of the state during war times by exchanging information, trading illegally or helped them in any way.
